1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Block Kaching platform ("Platform"), operated by UniopX, a Singapore-based technology company. By accessing or using Block Kaching, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
Block Kaching is a hyperlocal peer-to-peer services marketplace that connects HDB residents ("Buyers") with neighbouring service providers ("Providers") for everyday services within their residential estate.
2. Eligibility
To use Block Kaching, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Reside in or near a Singapore HDB estate
- Provide accurate and truthful registration information
- Have a valid Singapore mobile number for PayNow transactions
- Not be prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law
3. Platform Role and Limitations
Block Kaching operates as a technology platform and marketplace intermediary only. We do not provide services directly, employ Providers, or guarantee the quality, safety, legality or accuracy of any listing. We are not party to any transaction between Buyers and Providers.
Block Kaching is not responsible for the acts, omissions, errors, representations, warranties, or negligence of any user. Transactions are conducted between Buyers and Providers at their own risk.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at javier@uniopx.com of any unauthorised use. One account is permitted per individual. Account sharing is prohibited.
5. Listings and Services
Providers may list services on the Platform subject to our Community Standards. By creating a listing, you represent and warrant that the service is accurately described, lawfully permitted in Singapore, and complies with HDB's Home-Based Business Scheme guidelines.
Block Kaching reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms or our Community Standards at any time without notice or liability.
6. Prohibited Services
The following are strictly prohibited on Block Kaching:
- Sexual services of any kind, including escort services
- Illegal goods, substances or services
- Services that violate HDB rules or regulations
- Unlicensed financial advice or investment services
- Gambling, pyramid schemes or multi-level marketing
- Any service that facilitates harm, harassment or illegal activity
Violations will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to relevant Singapore authorities.
7. Fees and Payments
Block Kaching charges the following fees:
- Buyers: A 3% service fee is added to the listed service price at checkout
- Providers: A flat 15% fee is deducted from the service price upon job completion. This covers Block Kaching's platform fee and payment processing costs.
- The flat 15% fee applies to all Providers from the first transaction. There are no fee waivers or discounts. Providers receive 85% of their listed service price.
All payment processing costs are included in the 15% platform fee. Card payments require a minimum transaction value of S$10.
Payments are held in escrow by Stripe until the job is confirmed complete or the 48-hour auto-completion period expires. Provider payouts are disbursed via PayNow within 2 business days of Stripe settlement.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
Block Kaching facilitates payment processing only. Refunds are governed solely by the Provider's stated terms and conditions, which the Buyer accepts prior to booking.
7b. Provider Payout Responsibility
Providers are solely responsible for ensuring their registered PayNow number is correct, active, and able to receive funds. Block Kaching does not verify PayNow numbers prior to disbursement and will not conduct secondary checks on payout details.
Block Kaching is not liable for any failed, delayed, or misdirected payouts resulting from an incorrect or inactive PayNow number provided by the Provider. In the event of a misdirected payout due to an incorrect number, Block Kaching's liability is limited to reasonable efforts to assist in recovery and does not extend to reimbursement of the lost amount.
Providers acknowledge this responsibility by accepting these Terms and are advised to verify their PayNow number in Profile Settings before their first job completion.
- Buyers may cancel a booking before payment without charge
- Once payment is made, refunds are at the Provider's sole discretion per their stated T&Cs
- Block Kaching does not guarantee any refund beyond what the Provider's terms specify
- Stripe processing fees are non-refundable in all circumstances
9. Dispute Resolution
Users are encouraged to resolve disputes directly through the Platform's chat function. If resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate to Block Kaching by contacting javier@uniopx.com. Block Kaching's decision in adjudicated disputes is final with respect to the release of escrowed funds.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Singapore. Users submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
10. User Conduct
You agree not to conduct transactions off-platform, provide false information, harass other users, circumvent our safety systems, or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on Block Kaching, including the brand, logo, design and software, is owned by UniopX or its licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without our written consent.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SINGAPORE LAW, BLOCK KACHING AND UNIOPX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion without notice.
14. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
